Velvet Spring Curls are a valued addition to any isopod enclosure. They're aesthetically pleasing with their fun soft twisting curls. Natural botanicals are beneficial for isopods and other invertebrates giving your terrarium that natural look and feel of nature which in turns makes it easier for your isopods to feel at home and go about their natural life processes.
These natural botanicals originate from the from the Maloo Creeper plant (Bauhinia Vahlii). They are the spent seed pods the plant produces after the flower is pollenated.
Velvet Spring Curls vary in color from light to dark brown and range in size from 3 to 5 inches. Be advised they may initially get a small amount of mold due to their velvety texture, but this usually works itself out in a week or so. Springtails love them for this reason alone! Please do note that these are all natural and made by nature so each one is unique and will vary slightly in color and size. All botanicals we sell are light rinsed with RO water and oven baked to ensure they are fresh and ready for your isopod enclosure.
